DETAILED ACTION 
Continued Examination Under 37 CFR 1.114 

A request for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.114, including the fee set 
forth in 37 CFR 1 .17(e), was filed in this application after allowance or after an Office 
action under Ex Parte Quayle, 25 USPQ 74, 453 O.G. 213 (Comm'r Pat. 1935). Since 
this application is eligible for continued examination under 37 CFR 1.1 14, and the fee 
set forth in 37 CFR 1.17(e) has been timely paid, prosecution in this application has 
been reopened pursuant to 37 CFR 1.1 14. Applicant's submission filed on April 6 has 
been entered. 

Information Disclosure Statement 

The information disclosure statements filed October 22, 2004 and April 5, 2006 
have been considered. 

Allowable Subject Matter 

Claims 8-1 1 are allowed. 

Reasons for Allowance 

Claims 8-1 1 are allowable because there is no prior art of record that either 
teaches or suggests a color filter or liquid crystal display device comprising a 
relationship of various elements recited in lines 4-13 of claim 8, lines 4-12 of claim 9, 
lines 4-1 2 of claim 1 0, and lines 4-14 of claims 1 1 . 

Conclusion 

Any comments considered necessary by applicant must be submitted no later 
than the payment of the issue fee and, to avoid processing delays, should preferably

accompany the issue fee. Such submissions should be clearly labeled "Comments on
